A founding Partner of SV Design, Beau is a registered architect known for leading the design and management of complex commercial projects. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has demonstrated exceptional skill in multi-family and high-rise developments. Beau is currently spearheading the firm’s expansion into hospitality design, ensuring that client visions are realized through effective, budget-conscious solutions.

• Outside the Studio: A devoted Nashville SC fan, Beau enjoys sitting poolside with a cold brew or spending time with his family.

As a founding partner of SV Design, Nathan balances technical precision with creative vision. With over a decade of experience across the Nashville, Atlanta, and Knoxville markets, he specializes in healthcare design, corporate interior build-outs, and comprehensive restorations. A University of Tennessee alum and LEED Accredited Professional, Nathan is known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to manage projects from initial concept through final construction.

• The SVD Factor: Nathan views design as a perfect mixture of art and science, finding fulfillment in having something tangible to show for his creative efforts at the end of the day.
• Outside the Studio: Nathan is a “V-O-L-S” super-fan and a movie buff who counts Goonies and Back to the Future as his favorites.

As a founding Partner of SV Design, Samantha specializes in managing complex project teams and out-of-town ownership groups. Holding dual degrees from Auburn University, she has led diverse projects ranging from affordable housing and urban infill to community-focused schools and sacred spaces. She is highly regarded for her ability to engage the community and build support for local developments.

• The SVD Factor: Samantha operates on the belief that leaning into the choices that “scare you” is the best path toward professional and creative growth.
• Outside the Studio: Samantha loves traveling and often plans trips around sporting events and hiking.

Iain brings a collaborative, “puzzle-solving” approach to every project, specializing in multi-family residential, attainable housing, and mixed-use developments. An Auburn University graduate with dual degrees in Architecture and Interior Architecture, he focuses on creating long-lasting, beautiful impacts on the Nashville skyline. Whether he’s navigating complex site planning or engaging with clients at major decision points, Iain ensures the design process is as enjoyable as the final result.

• The SVD Factor: Iain thrives on the puzzle-solving nature of balancing design requirements, construction constraints, and client visions.
• Outside the Studio: You’ll likely find Iain enjoying the outdoors, spending time with his wife and son, or brewing more coffee.

Matthew Crow is a Project Manager who specializes in navigating the complexities of large-scale multi-family and adaptive reuse projects. Since joining the firm, he has played a key role in revitalizing existing spaces and creating impactful residential environments. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Tennessee and is an Associate AIA member.

• The SVD Factor: Matthew is driven by the idea that design professionals can meaningfully change people’s lives through the spaces they build.
• Outside the Studio: An Alabama Crimson Tide fan with an interest in Scandinavian and mid-century modern design. Matthew enjoys being in the great outdoors, working with his hands, and relaxing with his wife, son, and their three dogs, Milo, Vinny, and Lily.

Matthew is a licensed architect who views design as the perfect intersection of creative vision and logical problem-solving. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, he brings a versatile skill set to the team, with deep experience in the technical and highly regulated world of healthcare and institutional design. Whether he is developing master plans or collaborating with clients to establish a project’s initial concept, Matthew is driven by a desire to learn new systems and apply them to create impactful, lasting environments.

• The SVD Factor: Guided by the philosophy that “you fall to the level of your systems,” Matthew thrives on the learning-rich environment at SVD, where he can apply new insights to solve complex architectural puzzles like adaptive reuse projects.
• Outside the Studio: A “Vols Everything” fan, Matthew unwinds with trail runs or walks with his Golden Retriever, Nona. When he isn’t watching a Christopher Nolan film, he’s likely dreaming of a trip to Wimbledon or grabbing a pizza at Dicey’s.
